Assessor

The Assessor's Office is responsible for the assessment of all real, personal and exempt property in Sibley County. Minnesota State Statute 273.11 reads "All property shall be valued at its Market Value."

The Assessor's Office is ready to discuss your valuation and classification questions during office hours, which are listed to the right.

Valuation Notices

If you are looking for a copy of the current year Valuation Notice,  click here to be directed to the Auditor/Treasurer Property Tax webpage. From there, you can search for the property multiple ways. Once selecting the desired year, it will bring you to the parcel and a gray box will appear at the top right to view a pdf of the 'Current Year Value Notice'.  If you need a copy and are unable to print, please contact the Assessor's Office.

Annual Reassessment Notice

State law requires that every property is to be  physically viewed at least once every five (5) years for property tax assessment purposes. If your property is scheduled to be inspected this year, you should be receiving a postcard in the mail this spring describing our process.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Assessor's Office.
