What is fluoride varnishing? 

It is a temporary protective fluoride coating that is painted on the teeth to help prevent new cavities and to help stop cavities that have already started. It is a safe procedure and can be done on any child as soon as they have their first tooth. Procedure can be repeated every 3-4 months.

Fluoride Varnishing is offered during WIC appointments, at schools, or by appointments with Sibley County.

This service is free for children receiving Medical Assistance. If you have health care coverage from South Country Health Alliance, Prime West, MA or U-Care we will bill on your behalf. We do not accept private insurance however this service can still be provided to your child if choose to private pay. Private pay is $14.00 per application.

Fluoride varnishing in not meant to replace regular visits to your dentist. Please see our dental provider list and schedule your appointment.
